| Obverse description | Left-facing crowned effigy of Queen Victoria, depicted in high relief with finely rendered flowing hair beneath an ornate imperial crown. The queen's truncation shows an elaborately decorated robe or mantle with embossed floral and foliate motifs. The peripheral legend reads VICTORIA to the left and QUEEN to the right, set within a toothed border. The portrait follows the classic 'Gothic crown' style associated with William Wyon's engraving work of the mid-Victorian era. |
