Obverse description Laureate draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, her hair elaborately styled in plaited coils tied with a ribbon at the nape, adorned with a laurel sprig. The truncation reveals a brooch-fastened drapery with a small floral ornament. The royal cypher appears on the lower drapery. The encircling Latin legend reads VICTORIA D:G: BRITT:REG:F:D:, separated by stops, within a toothed border.
