Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Martha Washington occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with elaborate period coiffure and lace-trimmed neckline. The legend VIRGINIA arcs along the upper periphery, while the identifier MARTHA WASHINGTON appears in two lines to the right of the effigy. The date 1759, commemorating the year of her marriage to George Washington, is positioned along the lower rim beneath the truncation.

Reverse description A detailed three-quarter perspective view of the Mount Vernon mansion occupies the central field, flanked by mature trees rendered in fine relief. The inscription MOUNT VERNON appears in the lower field, directly beneath the architectural depiction, serving as a secondary identifying label for the estate.
