Obverse description The full Coat of Arms of Jamaica occupies the centre of the field, featuring a quartered shield bearing five golden pineapples, supported on either side by Taino figures in traditional dress — a female figure to the left holding a basket of fruit, and a male figure to the right bearing a spear. A crocodile rests atop the royal helmet above the shield, and a scrolled ribbon below bears the national motto. The legend JAMAICA appears in a narrow arc above, with the date below the arms, and the Franklin Mint mark positioned between the motto scroll and the date.
