Reverse description Two sparrow-like birds, identified as sparrows (Passer domesticus), are depicted perched and facing each other on either side of the large numeral '1', with the denomination indicator 'c' positioned below and to the right to form '1c'. The birds are rendered in fine relief with detailed feathering, each facing inward toward the central denomination. The engraver's initials WL appear in small lettering at the lower left of the field. The design is set within a plain, polished field with a raised rim.
