Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King George V wearing an imperial crown and draped in robes of state with a ribbon bow at the collar, rendered in high relief against a mirror-field proof background. The portrait, engraved by Fred Lewis, is enhanced with selective rose gold plating on the crown and robes, creating a striking contrast with the frosted silver effigy. The circular legend arcs around the upper periphery. The engraver's initials appear at the lower right of the bust truncation.
