Reverse description A large stylised trident, the national symbol of Barbados, dominates the central field with its three prongs rising toward the upper rim and a decorative, flowing base at the foot of the handle. The denomination legend ONE CENT is inscribed in two lines flanking the lower portion of the trident, with ONE to the left and CENT to the right. The engraver's initials PN appear discreetly in the lower field near the base of the trident. The entire design is surrounded by a continuous beaded border.
