Obverse description The right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, depicts the sovereign at approximately 64 years of age. The portrait features the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, a pearl necklace, and drop earrings, rendered in fine relief befitting the proof finish. The encircling legend reads 'ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA' with the commemorative dates '1952-2002' marking the Golden Jubilee of her reign. The legend is positioned along the upper and lower periphery of the obverse field.
