| Reverse description | Central motif depicting a traditional Fijian tanoa, a ceremonial kava bowl supported on four short legs, rendered in low relief against a flat field. The numeral 1 appears prominently above the tanoa in the upper field, while the denomination legend CENT is inscribed below the bowl in the lower field. A decorative border of small triangular serrations encircles the entire design, lending a distinctive ornamental frame to the composition. The overall design was engraved by Ken Payne and reflects indigenous Fijian cultural heritage. |
