Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a large bold numeral '1' in the central field, enclosed within a raised beaded inner circle. The annular area between the beaded circle and the milled outer border carries the issuer name MAURITIUS arching across the upper portion and the denomination ONE CENT along the lower portion, with two six-pointed star ornaments serving as separators at either side. The date is positioned to the right of the central numeral, reading vertically downward.
