Obverse description Right-facing crowned bust of King Edward VII, draped and wearing the Imperial State Crown, engraved by George William de Saulles. The effigy shows the king in robes adorned with jewelled decoration at the shoulder. The surrounding legend reads EDWARD VII KING & EMPEROR, disposed along the upper and right periphery of the field. A fine toothed border runs along the rim.

Reverse description Central design features a stylised palm tree enclosed within a circular border, flanked by the denomination ONE CENT rendered in Sinhalese (සතය) and Tamil (சதம்) scripts. The date appears at the base of the central circle, with the legend CEYLON and ONE CENT arranged around the outer periphery. A toothed border frames the entire design.
