The Jamul Indian Village is a federally recognized Kumeyaay band located in San Diego County — not affiliated with the Chippewa in any geographic, linguistic, or political sense. The Chippewa (Ojibwe) are a Great Lakes and northern Plains people. Why this piece carries that attribution is unclear, and that disconnect is itself the most notable thing about it.
