Obverse description Seated allegorical figure of Marianne (Liberty) facing left, wearing a radiate crown and classical drapery, holding a fasces upright in her raised left hand, with a cornucopia at her side and wheat sheaves in the left field. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the mint mark 'A' and engraver's initials 'AB' inscribed in the exergue. The curved legend 'UN CENTIEME DE PIASTRE' arcs around the upper periphery, and the date '1895' appears below in the lower legend, all within a beaded outer border.
