| Obverse description | Cast bronze cash coin featuring a central square perforation surrounded by a raised square rim. The four-character reign title legend 元豐通寶 (Yuanfeng Tongbao) is disposed in the four cardinal positions around the central hole, rendered in cursive running script (xingshu). The characters are boldly cast in relief against the flat inner field, with a raised outer rim encircling the entire design. The calligraphic style is fluid and characteristic of Northern Song artistic conventions, with a small dot mark present in the field as a mint or batch identifier. |
