| Obverse description | The obverse presents the four-character reign title legend 咸豐通寶 (Xianfeng Tongbao) cast in regular script (kaishu), disposed in the traditional cross-reading order: top, bottom, right, left around a central square perforation. The characters are boldly rendered in raised relief against a flat field, enclosed within an inner square rim surrounding the hole and an outer raised circular border. The coin exhibits heavy iron oxidation and surface corrosion consistent with its age and composition. |
