Obverse description Cast brass cash coin with a central square hole, bearing four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) arranged in cruciform reading order: top-bottom, right-left. The reign title legend 咸豐通寶 (Xianfeng Tongbao) surrounds the central perforation, with 咸 at top, 寶 at bottom, 通 at right, and 豐 at left. The characters are rendered in a bold, conventional casting style typical of Qing dynasty provincial issues. The flat field shows no additional ornamental devices.
