| Reverse description | Cast iron cash coin reverse featuring a central square hole flanked on left and right by two Manchu script characters read vertically, constituting the mint name 'Boo-dung' (Board of Revenue, Beijing). The Manchu glyphs are positioned one on each side of the square perforation, in the standard arrangement for Qing dynasty cash coinage. The field is otherwise plain, bounded by a raised outer rim, and the surface shows the characteristic rough texture of cast iron production. |
