| Obverse description | Bactrian legend in cursive script arranged in the field surrounding the central square hole, filling the entire face of the coin. The inscription is disposed in four groups of characters occupying the cardinal quadrants around the perforation, rendered in a bold, slightly stylized hand typical of late Tokharistan coinage. A raised rim of irregular profile encircles the design. The overall composition reflects the local epigraphic tradition of the Vakhsh Valley principality. |
