| Obverse description | Round cast iron cash coin featuring a central square perforation surrounded by a plain inner rim. The four-character reign title legend 天禧通寶 (Tianxi Tongbao) is arranged in regular script (kaishu) reading top-bottom-right-left around the central hole, with one character positioned in each quadrant of the field. The characters are rendered in a bold, well-formed style typical of Northern Song dynasty imperial cash coinage. The outer rim is raised and clearly defined, and the flat field shows the characteristic slightly rough texture of iron casting. |
