Obverse description Cast brass cash coin featuring four Chinese ideograms in regular script (kaishu) arranged symmetrically around a central square hole. The reign title 順治通寶 (Shunzhi Tongbao) is read in the traditional top-to-bottom, right-to-left cross pattern: 順 (top), 治 (bottom), 通 (right), 寶 (left). The characters are rendered in bold, well-defined strokes within a plain, undecorated field bounded by a narrow raised rim.
