Obverse description Round cast iron coin with a central square hole, bearing the four-character reign title inscription 紹熙通寶 (Shaoxi Tongbao) arranged in seal script (zhuanshu) in the four cardinal positions around the central perforation. The characters are rendered in a bold, archaic seal style typical of Southern Song imperial coinage, with the reign title reading clockwise from the top. The flat field surrounding the characters is unadorned, framed by a plain inner rim bordering the square hole and a raised outer rim encircling the coin.
