Obverse description Cast brass cash coin featuring four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) arranged in cruciform reading order: top to bottom and right to left around the central square perforation. The characters 乾隆通寶 (Qianlong Tongbao) are rendered in bold relief within a plain raised rim. The field between the characters and the rim is flat and unadorned, with the ideograms exhibiting the formal, well-proportioned brushwork typical of Qianlong-era imperial coinage.
