Reverse description The reverse displays two Manchu script characters flanking the central square hole, one character to the left and one to the right, read vertically in Manchu fashion. The characters together read 'Boo-kiyan' (ᠪᠣᠣ ᡴᠶᠠᠨ᠋), identifying the Guizhou mint. The inscription is cast in raised relief against a plain, unadorned field, enclosed by a raised rim consistent with standard Qing cash coinage.
