Obverse description Cast copper cash coin featuring a central square perforation surrounded by four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu), disposed in cruciform arrangement reading top-bottom-right-left: 乾 (Qian), 隆 (Long), 通 (Tong), 寶 (Bao), forming the legend 乾隆通寶. The characters are boldly rendered in relief against a plain field, enclosed within a raised inner square rim and an outer circular rim. The coin exhibits a heavily corroded surface with patches of green verdigris and earthen deposits consistent with extended burial or circulation.
