| Obverse description | Cast brass cash coin of typical Chinese round form with a central square perforation flanked by four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu), arranged in cruciform reading order: top to bottom and right to left. The four-character reign title legend 隆武通寶 (Longwu Tongbao) occupies the four quadrants of the obverse field, separated by the raised inner rim surrounding the square hole. The characters are rendered in bold, slightly archaic strokes typical of Southern Ming emergency coinage, set within a well-defined raised outer rim. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is largely plain, featuring a broad flat field with a raised inner rim surrounding the central square perforation and a raised outer rim defining the coin's edge. A single raised dot is positioned above the square hole at the twelve o'clock position, serving as the variety-distinguishing mint mark for this emission. The field is otherwise unadorned, as is characteristic of Southern Ming cash coinage of this period. |
