| Obverse description | Cast bronze cash coin of standard round form with a central square perforation, surrounded by four raised Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) arranged in cruciform order around the hole. The four-character reign legend 利永通寶 (Liyong Tongbao) reads top-to-bottom and right-to-left in the conventional manner. The characters are boldly rendered in raised relief against a flat, unadorned field, with no inner or outer rim decoration beyond a plain raised border. The overall style is consistent with the cast coinage of the rebel kingdoms of the Three Feudatories period of the late 17th century. |
