Obverse description Round cast brass cash coin with a central square hole. The obverse bears the four-character reign legend 康熙通寶 (Kangxi Tongbao) arranged in the traditional cross-reading order: 康 (Kang) at top, 熙 (Xi) at right, 通 (Tong) at left, and 寶 (Bao) at bottom, all rendered in regular script (kaishu). The character 通 displays a single dot variant, consistent with Hartill#22.126. The legend is raised in relief against a flat field, with a plain outer rim and inner rim framing the central perforation.
