| Reverse description | The reverse features two mint identification characters flanking the central square perforation, one on each side. To the left, a single Manchu character ᡨᠠᡳ (Tai) is cast in low relief, read vertically in the Manchu script tradition. To the right, the corresponding Chinese character 臺 (Tái), meaning Taiwan, appears in regular script. Both characters are contained within a plain inner rim, with a raised outer rim bordering the flat field, following standard Qing dynasty cash reverse typology for provincial mint identification. |
