| Obverse description | Cast round coin with a central square hole. The four-character reign legend 康熙通寶 (Kāngxī Tōngbǎo) is arranged in the traditional cross-reading format: top, bottom, right, left around the central perforation, rendered in regular script (kaishu). The field is plain, and the coin is bordered by a raised rim on both the inner edge of the square hole and the outer circumference. |
