Reverse description Plain reverse field featuring a central square perforation with raised inner rim, flanked by two Chinese ideograms in Regular script (Kaishu): one character above the hole and one below, denoting the mint identifier 同 (Tong, for Tong'an Mint) and the year numeral 三 (San, Year 3, corresponding to 1203). The remaining quadrants of the reverse field are blank. The surface shows heavy iron oxidation and encrustation consistent with prolonged burial or circulation.
