Reverse description The reverse displays two Manchu script characters arranged vertically on either side of the central square hole, reading from left to right as 'Boo-yūn' (寶源), the Manchu designation for the Board of Revenue Mint in Beijing. The Manchu glyphs are rendered in the characteristic cast style of Qing dynasty cash coinage, with moderately detailed strokes set within a plain, raised circular rim. The field is otherwise unadorned.
