| Obverse description | Royal cypher 'F 3' in the field, denoting Frederik III, surmounted by a royal crown rendered in a simplified, stylised manner. The design is crudely executed in low relief, consistent with the cast production technique employed for small-denomination colonial coinage of the period. The surfaces are uneven and irregular, characteristic of lead cast coins struck for circulation in the Danish settlements on the Coromandel Coast. |
