| Obverse description | Royal cypher of Frederik III consisting of the crowned letter 'F' surmounted by the numeral '3', all rendered in a crude, low-relief style characteristic of cast lead coinage. The crown appears above the conjoined monogram within an irregular plain field. The lettering reads 'F·3' in Latin characters. The coin shows the rough, uneven fabric typical of cast Danish colonial issues for the Tranquebar settlement. |
