| Obverse description | Four-character reign title inscription 重熙通寶 (Chongxi Tongbao) arranged in regular script (kaishu) reading top-to-bottom, right-to-left around a central square hole. The characters are boldly cast in relief against a flat field, with a plain inner rim encircling the perforation and a raised outer rim defining the coin's circumference. The casting quality is typical of Liao dynasty production, with moderate relief and slightly uneven patination reflecting age and circulation. |
