The "with year" designation distinguishes this issue from the far more common undated Cảnh Hưng cash pieces struck across the long reign of Lê Hiển Tông, which stretched from 1740 to 1786 — one of the longest reigns in Vietnamese history. Dated issues from the opening years of that reign are substantially scarcer, likely reflecting an abbreviated or experimental production run before the dynasty settled into its standard undated output. Barker's attribution places this firmly in the 1740–1742 window, corroborated by Toda's earlier cataloging work.
