| Obverse description | Central shield bearing the arms of Grand Master Antonio Manoel de Vilhena, surmounted by a crowned mantle or princely crown, with the eight-pointed cross of the Order of St. John visible within the quartered coat of arms. The shield is rendered in a baroque heraldic style typical of Maltese coinage of the period. A circular legend surrounds the design, reading F · D : AN : MANOEL DE VILHENA, with pellet stops separating the abbreviated titles. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border. |
