Bar and tavern scrip from small-town Wisconsin is among the most ephemeral of all American exonumia — printed in short runs, used hard, and rarely thought worth keeping. A "1 Call Mixer" denomination is a drink token in paper form, redeemable for one mixed drink with a well (call) spirit. The distinction between "call" and "well" varied by establishment, so the exact value depended entirely on what Conley's poured at the time of redemption.
Boyd is a village of a few hundred people in Chippewa County. Pieces like this rarely surface outside the immediate community.
