This is not a Bank of England note. The "Britannia Pound" is a privately issued banknote produced by Enschedé under contract for a commercial issuer — not legal tender in the UK and carrying no guarantee from any central bank. Such notes occupy the same ambiguous space as county notes and local scrip: collectable, technically cashable only through the issuer, and frequently misrepresented at point of sale.
Enschedé's involvement lends genuine production credibility — the Haarlem firm has printed banknotes and security documents for sovereigns and central banks across the world for over three centuries. The hologram inclusion brings the physical security specification closer to circulating currency than most novelty issues manage.
Charles III's accession in September 2022 makes this among the earliest commercial note issues to bear his name.
