Obverse description Central field bearing a bold Persian devotional inscription in flowing Nasta'liq script, reading 'Banda-yi Shah-i Wilayat Abbas' ('Servant of the King of Sainthood, Abbas'), with the mint name Farahabad incorporated into the legend. The script is deeply struck in high relief against a plain, slightly irregular flan typical of hammered Safavid coinage. The lettering fills the entire field without a formal border, consistent with the compact bisti denomination.
