Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King Albert I of Belgium, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail typical of early 20th-century Belgian coinage. The truncated bust is unadorned, in the style of Godefroid Devreese's medallic portraiture. A beaded or dotted legend encircles the effigy reading 'ALBERT ROI DES BELGES' in French, and the engraver's signature 'G.DEVREESE' appears below the bust in the lower field.
