Obverse description Central field displays the quartered arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg, comprising the rampant lion of Franconia and the diagonal rake of the Seinsheim family, surmounted by an elaborate princely crown with supporting mantling and decorative baroque scrollwork. The shield is rendered in fine detail with heraldic hatching to denote the tinctures. A circular milled border frames the design. The circumferential legend reads '30 EINE MARC' (indicating the coin's fineness standard of 30 pieces to the Cologne mark of fine silver), partially visible around the periphery.
