Obverse lettering CANTON FREYBURG 1828. 1 BAZ·
Reverse description The reverse features an ornate Swiss Confederation cross rendered in an elaborate interlaced Gothic style, with foliate quatrefoil decorations filling the terminals and a central letter C. The cross occupies most of the coin's field and is executed in fine relief with intricate intertwining strapwork. The surrounding legend DIE CONCORDIER CANTONE DER SCHWEIZ· arcs around the periphery, referencing the concordat cantons of Switzerland. The rim is edged with a continuous border of fine beading. The entire composition is inverted relative to the obverse, consistent with coin alignment.
