| Obverse description | The cantonal arms of Aargau occupy the center of the field, displaying a pointed shield divided per pale, with horizontal lines and wavy bands on the dexter side and three mullets on the sinister side. The shield is flanked by two crossed olive branches tied at the base, symbolizing civic peace. The circular legend CANTON ARGAU runs along the upper periphery, interrupted at the apex by a small decorative rosette, while the denomination 10. RAP. is inscribed in the lower exergue. The coin's border is defined by a continuous band of fine milling. Varieties of the die are recorded for this issue. |
