Obverse description A square cross occupies the central field, with decorative symbols placed in each of the four quadrants formed by the cross arms. Stars appear in the upper left and lower right quadrants, the Cyrillic letter Р (Radu) is positioned in the upper right quadrant, and the Cyrillic letter В (Ban) occupies the lower left quadrant. The overall design is characteristic of medieval Wallachian hammered coinage, struck on a thin, irregular flan with uneven relief.
