The legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA arcs across the upper field, while the fineness LEY 0.900 and weight GR.26.73 appear along the right periphery. The national motto PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO is inscribed below the shield, and the date 1953 appears in the lower exergue. |
