Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), depicted in mature portrait wearing spectacles and dressed in an ornately embroidered military collar with traditional Thai decorative motifs in low relief. The bust is rendered in fine detail with a naturalistic style. Thai script legend arcs to the left reading his royal name and to the right indicating his regnal title, Rama IX.

Reverse description A detailed view of Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) occupies the left and center of the field, depicting the iconic multi-tiered chedis and gilded temple rooflines with traditional Thai architectural ornamentation. To the upper right, the Thai legend reads 'ประเทศไทย' (Thailand) above the Buddhist Era date in Thai numerals. The denomination is expressed centrally in both Thai numeral '๑' and Arabic numeral '1', followed by the Thai word 'บาท' (baht).
