| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in military uniform, wearing spectacles, with epaulettes and decorations visible on the shoulder and chest. A circular legend in Thai script arcs around the upper field reading the King's name and reign title, with the commemorative inscription noting the completion of three 12-year cycles (36th birthday) along the lower periphery. Small ornamental devices flank the portrait on either side of the field. The portrait is rendered in moderate relief in a formal, realistic style. |
