Obverse description Left-facing bust of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in military uniform with decorative collar insignia, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The portrait is uncrowned and depicts the king in a youthful effigy. A Thai-script legend curves along the upper left periphery giving the king's name, while a further inscription at the right reads his regnal designation. The overall design is clean and formal, characteristic of mid-twentieth-century Thai coinage.
