| Obverse description | Hammered gold flan bearing a multi-line Persian poetic legend in elegant Nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged in curved registers across the field. The inscription commemorates the accession and sovereignty of Nader Shah, styling him as ruler of Iran and conqueror of the world. The mint name Shiraz (ضرب شیراز) and the regnal year 1149 AH appear in the lower register. The overall design is purely epigraphic, with no figurative elements, following the Islamic numismatic tradition of the Afsharid period. |
