Obverse description Uniformed bust of Mohammad Ali Shah Qajar facing left, wearing a tall jeweled Qajar crown adorned with an aigrette plume, his military tunic richly decorated with pearl and gem-set collar and epaulettes. The portrait, engraved in high relief by Alphonse Michaux, occupies the central field with fine photographic precision characteristic of late Qajar medallic art. The Arabic numeral date ۱۳۲۶ appears in the left field, and the engraver's initials 'A.M.' are inscribed in the lower exergual area. The design is enclosed within a plain inner border and an outer beaded border.
